Your comments about blame and moving on resonated with me due to a similar experience. So very true.

I am enjoying your writing very much.

'Bottom line, all we ever have is where we are now and what we are prepared to learn. You cannot plan a future in the present based upon fears of the past'

Wise words.

Thank you. In my own case, learnt the hard way!

Your writing inspires me like no other. My 2 sisters have had breast cancer, my dad lung cancer and my 24 yr old nephew has a decompensated liver with end stage cirrhosis (rarely drunk alcohol) and needs a liver transplant. My family are raging at the unjust nature of this whereas I’m trying to stay calm and look at what I can do to help myself, my own children & grandchild. Inspired by you

Wow. I'm SO here for you... raging will 100% not help anything or anyone. It's understandable, but ultimately futile. Tough call though to stay calm in the midst of that. Please reach out if I can further support in any way. And please know, genes are not destiny, they are but one piece of a complex puzzle, stay strong in the face of fatalistic thinking. M xxx
