This week’s challenge took our now eight remaining designers to the five star, former stately home turned hotel, Mar Hall golf and spa retreat on the banks of the river Clyde. Ten minutes from Glasgow airport and surrounded by ancient woodland, this was a deluxe place-to-stay designed by none other than Sir Robert Smirke, architect of the British Museum.
