When we started filming Interior Design Masters in the late summer of 2018 small was only four. I took the train/tube to the East London studio from Brighton, and onto different locations all around the UK, every other week for four months. For the cast and crew, it’s a full-time affair.
The production team were amazing: very clear about what they wanted. So filming was pretty slick; aka no time-wasting! When it aired it was thrilling to be immediately re-commissioned. And so the annual juggernaut began.
With the final for Season Six on tomorrow (8pm, BBC 1, Thursday 29th), I thought it’d be timely to reflect on where it all began. So here’s a whole bunch of Behind the Scenes pictures! Sharing them here so I can delete them from my phone (forever clearing). From the opening challenge with Matthew Williamson to Jade Jagger at The Chocolate Hotel, Laurence at the beach (in a suit) and everything in between. It’s interesting to see what I wore, which pieces I still have, and slightly scary to think that I really do look younger then; one whole 7-year life cycle ago. (Definitely prefer myself with a fringe!) Season One is on Netflix.
